This policy explains what data ImageIQ collects, how we use it, and when it is shared with third-party processors.
By using ImageIQ, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Data We Collect
1. Account Data
- Email address (email sign-in)
- Apple Sign In identifier/token data (Sign in with Apple)
- Unique user ID and account timestamps
2. Project and Image Data
- Original images and edited outputs you create in the app
- Project and edit metadata (names, tags, favorites, timestamps)
- Stored files and thumbnails needed to load your projects
3. AI Request Data
- Prompts/instructions you submit for AI generation or editing
- Image bytes sent for AI editing/upscaling
- AI request settings (model, aspect ratio, size, operation type)
4. Purchases and Subscription Data
- Subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction references
- Credit balances and credit transaction history
5. Diagnostics and Analytics Data
- Crash and reliability logs (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Optional product analytics events if you enable analytics
- AI cost telemetry metadata used for billing and abuse protection
AI Permission and Third-Party AI Sharing
Before ImageIQ sends prompt or image data for AI processing, the app asks for your permission.
If you allow AI processing, ImageIQ may share the following with third-party AI processors:
- Your prompt text/instructions
- Input image data you choose to process
- Operation settings required to generate/edit/upscale
AI providers used by ImageIQ:
- Google Gemini for image generation and editing (Privacy Policy)
- Stability AI for image upscaling (Privacy Policy)
If you do not allow AI data sharing, AI features will not run.
How We Use Data
- Provide app functionality, including project storage and AI features
- Authenticate users and protect account security
- Manage subscriptions, credits, and purchase reconciliation
- Detect abuse, enforce limits, and maintain service reliability
- Improve product quality through diagnostics and optional analytics
Where Data Is Processed and Shared
- Convex (application backend and file storage)
- Stores projects, edits, and file references
- Processes AI requests before forwarding to AI providers
- Supabase (authentication)
- Manages sign-in, sessions, and account identity
- Google Gemini (AI generation/editing)
- Receives prompts and image inputs for requested operations
- Stability AI (AI upscaling)
- Receives image inputs for upscaling operations
- RevenueCat and Apple (billing)
- Subscription and in-app purchase validation
- Firebase Crashlytics (diagnostics)
- Crash and reliability reporting
- PostHog (essential AI telemetry and optional analytics)
- Receives essential AI telemetry metadata (request IDs, operation type, token/cost usage, and error codes) for billing and abuse protection
- Receives optional product analytics events only when analytics consent is enabled
We do not sell your personal data.
Storage, Retention, and Security
- Project files can be stored in cloud storage to provide app functionality
- App preferences and some cached data are stored locally on your device
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Authentication/session tokens are kept in secure system storage
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and secure the platform.
Your Choices
- Delete projects and edits from within the app
- Delete your account from Profile settings
- Disable optional product analytics in app settings
- Decline AI sharing consent (AI features will be unavailable)
Children's Privacy
ImageIQ is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
